The Summer Talent Search is Open!

We're actively looking to publish regional releases or niche titles that may have been overlooked by the larger houses due to commerical concerns.

June 1, 2010 -- Never before in the history of the world has publishing and world-wide distribution been more accessible for authors.  Over the last two years advances in print-on-demand technology have made it possible to produce and print books on a purchase basis, eliminating the need for costly intitial runs of hundreds and sometimes thousands of titles.  With the technological revolution of electronic printing for distribution mediums like Kindle and the new iPad, it's even easier to market and merchandise author works that would normally be overlooked by larger houses.

We've partnered with a U.S. based North Carolina print house for production, and with Amazon and Ingram Distribution Services for traditional distribution.  We're currently working with the Kindle platform for electronic distribution and author e-rights management.

In our publishing model, we rely on authors to help promote their own works.  We supply every one of our authors with a press kit which includes tips for local marketing, press releases, and social media networking.

Our low cost business model makes it possible to take on smaller market projects, to promote our goal of preserving America's stories, one story at a time.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How Much Will It Cost To Have My Book Printed?
A: If your book is chosen during our Talent Search, the only costs you will incur will be the fee to copyright the work and whatever book purchases you may make on your own.

Q: Will I Get Free Books?
A: No, you will not be given free books -- but you will be able to purchase your title at a steeply discounted rate.  Some authors are able to sell their titles at local book fairs, art festivals, or make private arrangements with local markets or bookstores.

Q: Who Will Own The Rights To My Book?
A: Our authors are the copyright holders to their works.  Authors grant us permission for exclusive use of the title during the contract period.

Q: How Long Will My Contract Last?
A: Our standard contracts last for three years.  After that, we will review the business arrangement that we have.  At the end of our contract, the full rights to the body of the work return to the author and the copyright holder.
